Dear Fellow Aviators and Friends of VNC:

I hope each of you had a warm Thanksgiving. The Holiday Season is here and I wish each of you and your families a most sincere Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukah. May all of us have a healthy , happy, and prosperous New Year.

Our next meeting is on 18 January. Nick Piscitelli has set up a program that focuses on avionics.  This is shaping up to be one of those  "do not miss" meetings. The program on avionics will be interesting and so will our report to the membership. The Venice Airport Advisory Board (AAB) will conduct its monthly meeting beginning at 2 PM the same day. proval process; rest assured non-aviators will be there in a talkative mood.

Are you looking for a terrific social flying club?  The "Cloud Busters of Venice" could be your answer. They meet monthly, usually in the lobby of the Cockpit Café building, decide where they will fly that day, and then launch. No need to own a plane. They are a great group of flying folks.

I close this letter with a Bravo Zulu (Navy talk for "Well Done!") to fellow VASI member Walter Hake.  Walter, a Naval Aviator and carrier pilot in WWII, pointed out to our Airport Manager a safety issue with some hangar doors. The bottom rails had rotted out allowing the doors toswing freely. Door rails are now being replaced. All needed repairs should be complete in short order. Should you see a need for a repair please let a Board member know about it.

I look forward to seeing you both at the AAB meeting then at our meeting in January.

Nick Carlucci
